Fitted Bedroom in Loft Conversion.

Children’s Fitted Bedroom in a Leicester Loft Conversion.

Our brief for this bedroom in Leicester was to design, build and install a two tone bedroom suitable for children in a loft conversion.

The client decided on a white high gloss acrylic faced door with a contrasting carcass and worktop ( Egger Tobacco Gladstone Oak).

We built a full carcass bedroom so you do not see the walls, floor which ensures the bedroom will last for years and years and is strong enough to withstand young children climbing into the wardrobes.

This happened during the installation with the clients children having great fun hiding from their parents in their new wardrobes.

The centre base unit had a removable back giving access to the loft space behind the units.

With two 3 drawer units there is more than enough storage space for the children’s clothes and with a book case with adjustable shelves they will be able to reach and put away their favourite books.

All the hinges used are soft close to stop doors being slammed and the drawers are also soft close with deep drawers to ensure there is enough storage space.

The finishing touch was the handles supplied by ECF who have over 500 different handles and knobs to choose from.

We wanted to make full use of the space available in the bedroom and future proof to design so that the wardrobes would provide suitable storage as the children grew.

Fitted bedrooms in loft conversions can be difficult to design as there are always beams and low ceilings and the tendency is to fitted as many bedroom wardrobes as possible which can make your new bedroom look a lot smaller.

At the Leicester Kitchen Co. we love to work with our clients and explore all the options that are available for a fitted bedroom in a loft conversion.
